Whatever Remains - A Sherlock FanFic: Prologue

Alright, I want to post my fanfiction somewhere that they can't find it, so here it is. I will post when I feel like it. Straight from my mind... proceed with caution.

Whatever Remains - A Sherlockian FanFiction
Rating - K+
Characters - Canon with my hodge-podge of OCs mixed in
Summary - When Sherlock meets a mysterious young girl who is his equal, will he be able to handle it?

Prologue

The Diogenes Club, a place of silence, peacefulness. Mycroft's own creation for his sanity, excepting the one room where speaking is permitted. The same room that is currently vibrating with noise.

"Mister Holmes! I have gone to great links to conceal my identity, my age, my ethnicity. And yet... you want me to spy on someone, take away those rights from them??" The young woman sitting with him questioned in an almost-shrieking Scottish accent.

Mycroft gave an agitated sigh and tried to explain the situation to her once again. "Miss... DeLano, I'm afraid I can't help you unless you do this simple task for me," He spoke calmly. She threw up her hands, but then fell back in the chair, irritated.

"...Fine, Mister Holmes," She said, teeth gritted, "If I spy on Mister Sherlock Holmes, you will pay all my bills, give me an unlimited credit card," She compromised, "And provide me access to create new identities for my safety and yours." Her voice went low.

Mycroft hesitated, thinking, but then stood proudly and shook her hand. "Miss Cassandra DeLano, your car is outside and waiting to take you to 221a Baker Street..."

Now, how's that? Tell me whatcha think!

Sherlock BBC versus Elementary CBS: An angry and disbelieving Rant

Alright, I need to rant. So here's your warning.
*WARNING - Rant about to ensue*
Ok. I recently learned about CBS's new pilot episode for a Detective drama called Elementary - based off (or rather, ripped off) of the BBC's awesome show, Sherlock.
I facepalmed at the Anderson-level stupidity.
I could handle it. I wouldn't watch it, but I could handle it. The guy playing Sherlock Holmes would still be British, thankfully. Benedict Cumberbatch (the lead in the awesome Sherlock, if you people who have no idea what you're doing here were wondering) said he was okay with it, even if Steven Moffat (the creator, once again for you people, what are you doing here?) wasn't. So I could take it, because it would surely be off the air soon. But then the announcement came. Lucy Liu (a woman) would be playing Joan Watson. Joan... Watson.
I banged my head against the wall.
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!? What the heck is going on in your head, CBS?? Does every show you do have to have a female lead so you can do a 'falling-in-love-with-your-friend' routine? Even then, JOAN Watson? That is so clichè! That's what FANFICTION writers use for genderbending! It's just wrong, on so, SO many levels. I'd rather have a hedgehog as Watson!
CBS, take my advice. Quit while you still have your dignity. And people who put up with your crap. (I'm looking at you, producers of Hawaii Five-0...)

Prologue (Or, the first post)

Hey, y'all! It's Gracen here, writing on my blog. I don't think this will ever be read, so I'm using this as a vent, because shooting a wall is getting boring... ....I'm such a nerd. Anyway, as the description suggests, this is about my American views on British television, rants, tangents, and the like. And remember, I REGRET NOTHING.
So... yeah. That's it.
You can leave now.
